The Rally for Kids with Cancer Scavenger Cup is ignited by the desire to help end kids’ cancer. The Rally is an exclusive two-day event designed for participants who share a passion for exotic cars, meet celebrities and raise funds for kids with cancer.
This event features a schedule of pit stops at some of the most exclusive establishments in Toronto. Rally Drivers and Celebrity Navigators are given a task, clues and trivia as they navigate their way from one pit stop to another.

Step into this Horrifying Preview for The Cold

Filming is expected to begin sometime in Winter 2010.
This is a “psychological thriller.”
There is some early news developing on Iron Circle Picture’s The Cold. This film will take on the ancient first nation’s legend of the Wendigo, with some members of the story succumbing to cannibalistic urges. If you are not familiar, the Wendigo is an Algonquian myth which could/can transform into human figures. Filming on this feature is expected to begin in the Winter of 2010 (UHM) and Hayden Christensen will star. More details below.
The synopsis for The Cold is here;
“7 friends head off into the wilderness to begin their annual hunting trip. As a snow storm gathers the big white out begins. Snowed in, cold and isolated, the men begin to question their friendship and loyalties. Soon, they are terrorized by an unseen beas;, what is stalking them? Is it the cold? Starvation? or has The Wendigo come to hunt them down?” (UHM).
Release Date: 2011.

Hayden Christensen, Thandie Newton Talk ‘Vanishing on 7th Street’

If you’re not afraid of the dark now, you just might be after seeing ‘Vanishing on 7th Street.’ The new post-apocalyptic thriller by director Brad Anderson (‘The Machinist’) stars Hayden Christensen, Thandie Newton, John Leguizamo and newcomer Jacob Latimore as a group of survivors trying to figure out how to sustain themselves in a world where everyone has inexplicably vanished.
This is a pretty unusual concept. What was your reaction when you first saw the script?
Newton: I really liked how spare the script was. And you could tell straight away that it wasn’t going to be looking for shocks and thrills. It was much more a kind of meditation on fear and -
Christensen: And death.
Newton: Yeah, and death. And it would rely heavily on what the actors brought to it, which I thought was… you don’t get those very often.
Did you have any idea about how you were going to get into character and approach it?
Christensen: What I liked about the script was the containment of it and how that would allow for real character exploration. We spent a lot of time in that bar. Just Thandie, John, Jacob and myself. And it really felt like we were putting on a play.
Newton: We had lots of night shoots in the freezing cold. It was like an endurance test. We had a lot of stuff to get through, so it was also everyone very keen to get the work done. So there almost wasn’t time to think about how cold it was. I love all of that.
Christensen: I think it also lends itself to the work. The nature of having to make a movie in such tough conditions in such a short period of time gave us all this sort of frantic feeling that we’re just trying to keep up with in the movie.

Vanishing on 7th Street Pictures

From Larry Richman - On Sunday, September 12, 2021 I attended the gala World Premiere of Vanishing on 7th Street at the Toronto International Film Festival. Featured in the Midnight Madness section, the sold-out screening was held at the 1300-seat Ryerson Theatre.
Director Brad Anderson was joined onstage by stars Hayden Christensen, Thandie Newton, and Jacob Latimore before and after the screening, along with Midnight Madness programmer Colin Geddes.
