You be the critic
After you have seen the movie 'Shattered Glass', give me your honest professional opinion about what you thought of the movie. All you have to do is click the email url, send me your review and I will post it.

[MG]- I've seen the movie twice, at the Toronto film festival and the Chicago Film festival. I met Hayden at the Chicago screening. Anyway, it is a terrific film, both for the suspenceful screenplay and the wonderful acting. Hayden is flawless as Glass. He plays him as an entertaining, amusing, smart, innocent, kiss- ass, boyish, sweet person in the beginning of the film to a desperate, whining, phony pathetic, sad, painful but overall sympathetic creature he ends up being at the end of the film. If this was not a real person, I would have thought Glass is a character hard to fictionalize. Hayden's looks plays a big part in this character. His oval glasses, messed up hair, blue shirts, khakis and dark blazers make him endearing and youthful and more tense at the same time. Hayden acts so well with his face...when he stares at Peter as he's lying, when he's tearing up, when he tries to hide his eyes under the glasses when Peter glares at him, and especially at the very, very end when he is confronted by all of it and his eyes are so dark and lost....He's so amazing and his scences with Peter are the best. They play well off each other and the scenes are intense, scary, and true. Peter Saarsgaard is so good in this role as someone who is a little taken aback by Stephen's colorful stories in their staff meetings (because he in no way can compete with them) to someone who defending the magazine's honor and reputation. The other cast members are all right on though their parts are smaller. One of the best ensemble casts I've seen in awhile and are all made up of my favortie indie actors! When I saw it in Toronto (which held about 1,000 people in the theatre), there was alot of uncomfortable, disbelieving people gasping when Stephen was following one lie after another after another..the tenacity and relentlessness this joker had! Then when Peter nailed him, there were some cheers and "you get him, Chuck!". After spending the last year in Hayden- land, I could feel how uncomfortable this role was for him to play. It's so different from the real Hayden that his performance amazes me even more! He's sensational and Billy Ray is wonderful. I'm really looking forward to his next project, whether directing or screenwriting. This is quite a debut. I sat in on a Q&A after the Chicago screening with Hayden, Bill, and Peter. All were passionate about the messages in this film and seemed very proud and humbling at the same time. They are all very intelligent men and I so admire a smart, sharp movie like this. Will I be able to see what others thought? Btw, your websight is awesome, the best and I'm so glad I don't have to worry about missing anything Hayden. I adore and respect him so much. Now that I had the honor of meeting him, I believe that and more. Thanks for giving us an opportunity to write our SG reviews. For a long time, I was the only one I knew who has seen the film and I was dying to talk about it but I held off because I didn't want to give anything away. All I talked about was the wonderful, wonderful performances of Hayden, Peter and the rest.

[Alyssa J W]- I just saw Shattered Glass today at the Ritz in the Bourse in Philadelphia and it was awesome! Hayden played his character so well I pitied the man but I also couldn't stand how he kept saying sorry throughout the whole film. Steve Glass was so interesting to me and when asked if he was lying he kept making up more lies so it made me feel sorry for him because he was crying. Plus Hayden was really hott and he was funny in some parts. I definatly recommend seeing this so if it comes out near you buy a ticket cuz its awesome!

[Princess ]- I saw Shattered Glass twice in Enzian Theater in Winter Park, Florida. I loved the movie! I didn't want it to end. I couldn't get enough of Hayden's great presence and superb acting. It didn't remind me of Anakin at all. I can't wait for the DVD so I can watch it over and over again.

[Jessie]- I absolutely loved Shattered Glass! I thought it was amazing and every second was intresting. Hayden did a incredibly job playing Stephan Glass, and so did all the others for playing their characters. There was funny parts and supensful parts. I recomend this movie to everyone. Plus I learned about Stephan Glass!

[Kayla]- I saw the movie at a great theater in amherst, ny. It was the best movie Ive seen in a long time. I seriously came out of the theater in shock. The acting was phenominal. Of course Hayden was great and Peter Saarsgard was excellent at showing a character who wanted to be trusting and loyal to Glass but in the end had to do what was best by firing him. The film overall is very dark and I guess if you see it in Glass's point of view, horrifying. I not only was amazed by the great acting and screenplay but by the fact that this is a true story. It really gave more meaning to the story than if it were fiction and you would be thinking it could happen but..ya know? There were some that said something they didn't like was the fact that it was not told why Glass resulted to this matter, but I personally did not find that necessary. It was something that really was up to the viewer. Glass wanted all his work to be the best and he felt none of his stories were good enough. Really what it was is that he wanted everyone to like him and he wanted to be well known. I believe that the film says plenty because the rest is self explanitory. Just hearing about Glass and what he did makes it harder to sympathize but after seeing the movie I really understand what led him to his behavior. It wasn't the right way to turn and of course he deserves any punishment that he got, but I guess you could say, he needed help and no one around him picked that up and it just got worse and worse. There's no more I could say without giving the whole thing away except that Shattered Glass is a truly sad story. It may have its funny moments but what Glass did to himself is nothing I would wish on anyone. His was a perfect story to tell.

[haydenswifey ]- SG was awesome! the beginning was funny, with the condoms and stuff, those guys r so random... but hayden did an excellent job. he made you root for the bad guy, and feel sorry for him at his downfall. He even made you hate Sarsgaard (not sure i spelled taht right) even though peter played the good guy. You never really find out why stephen did what he did, but there are hints throughout the movie that you get from him talking to his friends and such. The details of the scenes and how it switched abck and forth between different characters definitely showed the story from a few different perspectives, the only one it failed to show was Glass's.However, the scene of him telling the students about journalism (showed several times throughout the movie) was genius. i completely wasn't expecting it, very well done.I recommend everyone goes and sees it, hayds really shows off his acting chops. :)

[Kara]- SG is great! Just to make this short and simple, my fave part is the one where hes lookin at the condoms..teehee. And also when he wears the PUMA hat while makin up that whole disney world story. GREAT, so sexy! lol! : P

[Tiffany] - I thought it was great. Really truly great. I like Hayden in these types of movies (SG and LAAH) because he gets to create and feel around the characters; make them his own. In SG, you could really see how much he's grown and he pulled this character off SO well. For someone who may only be seeing this film because it has him in it, it'll be a pleasant surprise. I wasn't sure if I'd watch it if he weren't in it, but I am honestly glad I did. It's a great movie, and the actors did an amazing job. Hayden is a wonderful and passionate actor, and his love for his work shines thru.

[Valentina ] - This was all in all a good movie. I like how (in a twisted turn of character) Hayden played the criminal. He was so good at his part of Stephen Glass. He got all the emtions down like crying and making his part sound convincing. All of the actors/actresses played well in their role. I liked the story behind it all and how Stephen tries to cover his tracks with more lies and how he eventually gets himself stuck deeper into his own lie.

[Laura ] - Hayden was great in this film! I think he achieved the perfect balance of making us love him, hate him, and feel sorry for him all at once!

[Samantha ] - Honestly I didn't really like this movie. I think it is because this is not usually the type of movie that I enjoy. However, I find that along with a lot of other fans, Hayden basically becomes Steven Glass. I have never seen him get more into his character than in this movie. I give it a 6/10.

[Lauren] - This is another of his brillant movies, he truly protrayed Stephan Glass and all the other like Peter Saarsgaard. Their scenes together are intense and tension between the characters is high and throughout the film you start to feel sorry for him and the others. They all worked together and it really is a terrific film.

[Andria] - Shattered Glass: I think this character wasn't given the credit he deserved. Instead they make it seem like he wasn't a writer at all, but he was. He just fabricated fact from fiction. If a person looked at this character as a fiction writer, instead of someone who was going about investigative reporting the wrong way - then I think his character would have been better received. I find there is some underlying jealousy between Hayden's brother and Hayden's character, and that this is some revenge role Hayden is playing for the charity of his production company on his brother's behalf. I think it is unfair. It makes me wonder if his brother tried to take away his toys when they were younger. ( None of my business really, I know...) I think it was edited to make the character of the editor look good in the end, but from my point of view, Haydens character was the one who brought life to the stories, whether true or false, and was working with creative writing skills. I don't think there is anything wrong from that perspective, but the movie fails to give that impression. I would have ended the movie differently.

[marina]- I watched "Shattered Glass" and I loved it!.. I love these type of movies not really the type that gets you on the edge of your seat every minute but its one where you sort of have to think.. Honestly in the first half hour of the movie I didn't expect that Stephen Glass (Hayden's character) was going to end up not really being the bad guy but not really the good guy either, if that makes any sense at all. And not really knowing anything about the real Stephen Glass, it's kind of similar to factory girl in a way, yet a completely different movie he (Hayden) is still acting as somebody else telling another persons story kind of thing? But I have to say I really liked it, at first I thought he did get set up which I think he kinda did but he put it on himself at the same time (Stephen Glass) which made the story more interesting because he looks so innocent and entertaining yet his story ended up being a fake, and then finding out that another 21 of his stories were fake was kind of a shock but as I said before I didn't know anything about the real Stephen Glass so yeah, but overall a great drama, and very well presented it all fit when it came to the end.

[Amy]- I saw Shattered Glass on the IFC channel. I have watched it so many different times I couldn't tell you exactly how many times though. I thought it was a really good movie. Hayden did a spectacular job playing Stephen Glass. You could feel his emotions as you are watching the movie and really pulled you into the movie and what was happening between each of the characters in the movie. I thought all the actors and actresses were really good in the movie. I would give this movie * * * * * stars. I liked it alot!! Way to go Hayden!
