Scott tells Shelby how he was afraid to tell people his secret because he would never be able to look at the person the face the same way again. Shelby replied by telling him that he could look at her couldn?t he? Scott smiled and told her she was beautiful. Then they kissed and hug. This scene was so cute! I loved it. As they walk hand in hand back to Horizon from the woods, Jules complain to Daisy that Shelby is on some sort of conquest. Daisy tells Scott that Peter wants to see him. When Scott sees Peter, he is informed that he?s been good for a month now and has the privilege to see his parents. Scott was excited to see his dad, but when he heard his stepmother was going to be there too, he wasn?t as excited about it anymore. He comes back to the cafeteria and tells Shelby about what Peter told him and that she has to help him find a way out of there. Scott and Shelby are washing dishes as they discuss a way out for Scott well at least until Daisy to showed up and tells them that they?re wanted in the woods. Before Shelby leaves though Daisy tells her, ?The road to truth love is paved with broken glass.? Jumping to the next scene we see Daisy rock climbing. While she is climbing Peter asks her if she is scared. She finally confesses that she is scared while Shelby and Scott whisper to each other ways of getting out of Horizon. Peter tells them to keep quiet. As Peter tells Dais y, she can come down now she spots an abandon horse and tells the other cliffhangers. They rush to see the wounded horse as Shelby looked the other way and laid on a log nearby. Juliette was excited to see the horse and wanted to help it but the horse didn?t seem to like her that much and went to Shelby who fell off the log when the horse approached her. They all try to help the horse but it ran away. So, they all decided to go look for the horse and help it out. Scott and Shelby are together and Scott tells her his plan to escape. He then asks her to come with him. She refuses gently though. Peter and Sophie are in the kitchen. Peter tells Sophie that he?s baking bread. Sophie told him she has heard about his cake baking incident. Peter tells her that he bought the dough all he has to do is kneed it bake it. Sophie decides to give him a hand as the have a small talk. Peter tells Sophie that ever since he told Scott about his parents coming to see him, he hadn?t said a word. Sophie tells Peter that he shouldn?t force it out of Scott but let Scott realize that he belongs at Horizon and the he must let the teacher teach. Scott and Shelby are waiting on the porch of the cabin waiting for the arrival of his parents. His dad comes out of the car and hugs him. His stepmother comes out and Scott isn?t as happy. Shelby looks at disgust at Elaine?s action. They all go to eat at the local restaurant. Scott?s dad tells him how happy he is to see that Scott is a lot better. When his dad receives a call and leaves for a few minutes, Elaine begins to tell Scott that she misses him and Scott talks back to her obviously annoyed with her and bring back past memories of what had happened that he didn?t want to remember. She threatens him that if he tells his father, it wouldn?t work because his father loves her and wouldn?t believe him. While at Horizon, Shelby paces back and forth waiting for Scott to come back. When he does arrive back he tells her that he has to leave that night and to meet him behind the dorms before sunrise. Shelby walks back to the sofa where Daisy tells her that Shelby?s worried about him and that?s he?s an emotional crash site but he?s a male and he doesn?t want to talk about it and Shelby doesn?t know what to do. Shelby tells Daisy that she doesn?t want to do the wrong thing, her whole life she?s done the wrong thing. Daisy then tells Shelby not to listen to that voice that tells her she?s a bad person because that voice is wrong. Shelby rebuttals by saying you don?t even know me. Daisy response was that she trusts Shelby and so does Scott. She then tells Shelby to do what she think is right. Scott gets his stuff ready to go. When he goes behind the dorms, Shelby is nowhere to be found so he goes to her window and calls for her. No response. As he leaves to get a kayak she pulls the curtains aside as she watches him leave. Scott takes the kayak and goes down the lake. A few hours later Shelby is outside contemplating whether or not she should tell Peter and finally decides to tell Peter that Scott ran. They send for search party and look for Scott. Peter takes the motorcycle to look for Scott. Shelby worries Scott as the other cliffhangers talk about the situation. Juliette comments by saying, ?I?d run too, if she was my girlfriend.? Obviously referring to Shelby who looks quite worried. Daisy sees this and tries to come and comfort Shelby. Here?s there conversation. Shelby: Get away from me Daisy: Shelby you did the right thing. Shelby: He?s gonna hate me. Shelby: You don?t know. He?s the first guy. When he looks at me. No one has ever looked at me like that not ever. And now it?s all gonna be gone. Shelby walks away after she said that obviously hurt. As she walks away she finds the abandon horse they saw the day earlier. Scott is trying to go down the raging rapids. The horse follows Shelby all the way back to Horizon. Peter finds Scott and saves him from the rapids and gives him piece of advice. Shelby starts to care for the abandon horse but doesn?t let anybody know that she does. Peter brings Scott home and he walks by Shelby without saying a word as she walks the horse around. The next morning Scott?s parents are brought in to talk. Scott finally confesses to his dad what his stepmother had done. He walks out of the office crying as Peter comforts him. He tells Peter that he?s relieved that he finally told his father the truth. He then walks away. As he walks down towards the dorms where Shelby is stand they look at each other with a look of understanding and hold hands.
